We have always enjoyed lovely food in lovely surroundings with a gentle ambience. But coming back we were shocked to hear the language and behaviour of a couple of the "ladies" (I use that term loosely) and the whole clientele seems to have changed. had it not been for the fact that we saw the Landlady sat in her usual chair - we actually thought this establishment had been taken over by new tenants? This is no longer the place to go for a nice, friendly oldie worldy pub meal or quiet relaxing drink. The staff looked miserable and the whole atmosphere has gone rapidly down hill - Plus the prices have gone up! Landlord - Landlady what has happened to encourage such awful people into your public house? We will NOT be returning. Anyone of a gentle nature or family orientated should avoid at all costs - the language heard would not be out of place in a sewer. They should be ashamed of themselves and the Landlord / Landlady should respect their other customers. We had a feeling one of them has a close relationship with the Landlord, going by her vivid and colouful discription of him. Please dont think we were sat listening, being nosy - their level of noise was such that we had no choice.
